HELLO

FRIENDS!

Justice for Dogs was born In November 2007. Amy Touchette, our founder, realized that the outlook of dogs that didn't make it into the regular shelters was grim. However she believed that every dog deserved a chance for a loving home even the harder to adopt animals. With love and care they could all find amazing homes and many years later we have been incredibly successful at just that.

Our adopters are wonderful people with huge hearts and caring homes for dogs and cats alike.

Please consider becoming one of our pack members!

We know you've always wanted a dog or cat. And now's the time friends! We are here to help you get ready for your new family member as soon as you're ready to take the big plunge. Owning an animal is, after all, one of the most gratifying things you can do. Studies show that you will even live a longer and happier life with a fur-friend by your side!

It's hard knowing what to do when you're about to adopt. But, we make this process even easier when you adopt with us, because we will guide you through the process and  will go over every possible question or concern you and your family might have on introducing your newest pal to the family.

Most of the animals we take in are fostered. This helps them to acclimate to home life, and in some cases, health or behavioral issues are addressed. In Vermont, many of your expenses are tax deductible. If you are interested in fostering, please click the button above.

Every penny raised for our organization is used for the maintenance of our animals and finding homes for them. Beyond money, Justice for Dogs has a wish list of items like food and toys needed to keep our friends healthy and happy.

We wanted to put out a huge thank you to the Lamoille community! When we did the Betty White Challenge, we raised $1362 and can't express how grateful we are to each and everyone of you for donating. We truly couldn't do it without your support.

Our shop is now open! You can support Justice for Dogs while doing your holiday shopping. At this time we have two books and a sturdy tote bag available. All proceeds go to support our organization.

We are fortunate to have several wonderful businesses help us do our important work. Click the button above to learn more about them. Please give them your support.

Justice for Dogs is run entirely by volunteers. We have a core group of wonderful people who have dedicated themselves to finding good homes for as many cats and dogs as possible. There are always opportunities for those who would like to help, whether for an hour or full time. Click on the button above to find out how you can help.

Thanks to those who braved the weather to attend the flea market.

April 6th we will have a table at the Albany Craft Fair. Details on the EVENTS page.

It's that time again! If your dog or cat is due for their rabies shot, check out the RABIES page for available clinics.
Please note change of  dates due to weather.
